VOLUME 06:

AURA

VORKURS: aura dwells on the relationship between inhabitant and the intangible qualities of the inhabited realm. We define aura as a perceived quality within a space, its boundary unknown until it is experienced.

Aura first began as a characteristic of space where an unpalatable atmosphere transcended from history, context, and place. Throughout the process of communicating and compiling work for this publication, the meaning of aura has evolved beyond a characteristic of space to a conversation of individual perspective and variations in individual experiential understanding.

The beauty of the revelation is found in the variance of our interpretation; everyone’s perspective shapes his or her narrative of perception of an essence radiated. We hope to share the different interpretations and rationalizations of how atmospheres are constructed and why it is compelling to reflect and reside within them.

VORKURS: aura relishes in sharing these narratives from different perspectives in hope to engage an ever-evolving conversation on the relationship between designer, dweller, and habitat.

We hope these narratives radiate beyond the pages and extend their aura to you.
